Brazilian waxing during pregnancy
Yes, you can get a Brazilian wax while pregnant. Here's what to expect, when to book, and how we keep you comfortable at every stage.
Getting a Brazilian wax while pregnant is safe for most people. Your skin may be more sensitive than usual because of pregnancy hormones and increased blood flow. At The Guest House in Rocky Hill, CT, we use gentle all-natural hard wax, position you comfortably, and work at your pace. Tell us how far along you are, and check with your doctor or midwife first if your pregnancy is high-risk.

How we keep you comfortable
- Extra pillows and positions that work for your bump, including side-lying.
- Breaks whenever you need them.
- Hard wax that grips the hair, not the skin, for more sensitive skin.
- No guessing: you can't see the area, so we'll walk you through the shape you want.
- Pregnancy-safe skin care only. We skip high frequency and nanoneedling until after baby.

Questions
Pregnancy waxing FAQ
Is it safe to get a Brazilian wax while pregnant?
For most people, yes. Waxing doesn't affect the baby. Pregnancy hormones can make skin more sensitive and increase blood flow to the area, so it may feel more tender than usual. If your pregnancy is high-risk, check with your doctor or midwife first.
When during pregnancy can I get waxed?
You can wax throughout pregnancy. Many clients find the second trimester the most comfortable, and many book a Brazilian in the last weeks before their due date. Let us know how far along you are when you book.
Can I get a Brazilian before giving birth?
Yes. Many clients book one about 1 to 2 weeks before their due date so they feel fresh and comfortable heading into delivery and the weeks after.
Are the skin treatments safe during pregnancy?
Some corrective add-ons, such as high frequency and nanoneedling, aren't recommended during pregnancy. We'll choose a gentle, pregnancy-safe option instead, such as a hydrating mask.
