Your first visit to The Guest House
Everything to know before your first appointment: how to prep, what happens when you arrive, our policies and how to care for your skin after.
Step by step
How your first visit works
- Book online. Choose your service on Vagaro and turn on text and email reminders. New clients can book a $49 Brazilian through November 8, 2026.
- Prep your skin. Let hair grow to about 1/4 inch, exfoliate gently a day or two before, and skip lotions and oils on the day.
- Arrive and settle in. Free parking is in front; use the front door. Help yourself to snacks and a drink in the lobby.
- Skin check and service. We look at your skin, ask about products and medications, and walk you through each step before we start.
- Aftercare plan. You leave knowing how to care for your skin and when to come back, usually in 4 to 6 weeks.

- No lotion, oil or deodorant on the area that day.

Questions
First-visit questions
How early should I arrive?
Arrive about 5 minutes early. Park for free in front of the building and use the front door.
Can I bring someone with me?
The studio is adults only. A friend can wait in the lobby, but please arrange childcare for children.
What if I'm on my period?
You can still come in for waxing with a tampon or menstrual cup. Skin can be more sensitive, so the week after is often more comfortable.
What should I tell you before my wax?
Let us know about retinoids, acne medications, antibiotics, recent sunburn, or isotretinoin (Accutane) in the past six months. Some of these make waxing unsafe for now.
